Well-Nourished Pregnancy

Join this 1-h workshop to learn about prenatal nutrition. The focus is to provide moms-to-be with information that optimizes their health and insight into issues related to prenatal, early postpartum and infant care. The program is NOT a substitute for a childbirth education course.

Introducing Your Baby to Solid Foods

Join our Registered Dietitian (RD) for this 2-hour workshop and learn everything you need to know about introducing solid food to your baby. Best suited for parents whose baby is 2-6 months old. This workshop is held once a month via Zoom. Check out our events calendar for more information!

Raising a Healthy Happy Eater

Join our Registered Dietitian for this 1.5-hour workshop where you will learn how to manage and prevent picky eating habits in toddlers and young children (8-10 years of age). Breastfeeding (BF) Café

This is a FREE program offered to patients and community members. Join our Registered Dietitian, Maria Rumeo-Lisi and Certified Lactation Educator/Breastfeeding Counselor, Elizabeth Kelly to learn about nutrition and breastfeeding for baby and mother. Let’s Talk Diabetes!

Looking for up-to-date information on diabetes or pre-diabetes? Would you like to learn how to manage the disease and stay healthy?

Join us every month to talk about leading a healthy life with diabetes. Guest speakers include our Registered Dietitian, Registered Kinesiologist, Pharmacist and Mental Health Counselor.

Smoking Cessation

Are you thinking about quitting smoking? Whether you are a smoker, or you just quit, we are here to help you in your journey! Our multidisciplinary team is made up of a Licensed Pharmacist, Respiratory Therapist, Registered Kinesiologist, Social Worker and Registered Dietitian. Mindful Eating Program

This 6-week program is facilitated by our Registered Dietitian (RD) and Mental Health Counsellor (MSW). Sessions are focused on managing emotional eating and food cravings. The next session will commence on Thursday July 21, 2022 from 12-2 pm. Continue checking our calendar of events page for regular updates.

  • how to become more in tune with your body
  • powerful skills that can help you manage even your toughest food cravings
  • how to find balance and heal your relationship with food

Mental Health Webinars

Central Brampton Family Health Team is proud to announce that the Coping Conversations Webinar Series has won a 2020 Bright Lights Award presented by the Association of Family Health Teams in Ontario. Click HERE to learn more!

Join this webinar every week to discuss healthy strategies that support mental health and well-being. Each session is led by a Mental Health Counsellor who is also a Registered Social Worker (MSW). These interactive sessions will help participants learn and utilize helpful skills and tools to deal with every day life situations.

Seniors’ Wellness Series

Central Brampton Family Health Team is offering monthly presentations to address seniors’ wellness. These sessions are FREE to patients and community members. Presentations will be geared towards older adults, as well as family members and caregivers.

Lung Health Foundation – Physical Activity Video

Physical activity is especially important for individuals who have conditions that impact their lungs. This video shared by the Lung Health Foundation in collaboration with the Abilities Centre in Whitby is for those living with a chronic lung condition who are unable to access safe and suitable exercise programs in their communities at this time.
