The Breastfeeding Clinic: Expert Care for Your Nursing Journey

Breastfeeding can be a deeply rewarding experience, but it’s not without its challenges. At The Breastfeeding Clinic, we’re here to provide compassionate, expert support tailored to you and your baby.

Our clinic is led by family physicians specializing in prenatal and perinatal care, ensuring that you receive evidence-based advice and holistic care. Whether you’re a first-time parent or have previous experience, we’re here to help you navigate:

  • Latching and Positioning: Learn techniques for a comfortable and effective latch. We also make recommendations for hold to best hold your baby and advise on 

  • Milk Supply Concerns: Get guidance on boosting supply or managing overproduction.

  • Pain or Discomfort: Address issues such as sore nipples, engorgement, or blocked ducts.

  • Specialized Situations: Receive support for breastfeeding multiples, premature infants, or babies with tongue-tie or other feeding difficulties.

  • Weaning Guidance: Transition smoothly when you’re ready to move on from breastfeeding.

Supporting Your Transition to Solid Foods

Navigating the transition from breastfeeding or formula to solid foods can be an exciting but challenging time for new parents. Our Starting Solids program is here to guide you every step of the way!

Designed for young and new parents, this program provides:

  • Expert Guidance: Learn from our lactation consultation and family health professional about introducing solids safely and effectively.

  • Step-by-Step Support: Understand when and how to start solids, what foods to introduce first, and how to recognize your baby’s cues.

  • Hands-On Workshops: Participate in interactive sessions, including recipe sharing and feeding technique demonstartions.

  • Customized Advice: Address common challenges like food allergies, picky eating, and transitioning from purees to finger foods.

  • Community Connection: Share experiences and tips with other parents in a supportive, judgment-free environment.

Breastfeeding Café – A Virtual Community for Support and Connection

📅 Date: Starting April 2025 and then the third Monday of every month until September 2025

Join us for our monthly Breastfeeding Café, a welcoming virtual space where new and expectant parents can come together for support, shared experiences, and expert guidance. Led by our registered dietitian and lactation specialist, this community group offers a safe and inclusive environment to ask questions, gain confidence, and connect with others on the breastfeeding journey.

Held on the third Monday of every month via Zoom, each session explores essential topics such as:

  • The benefits of breastfeeding

  • Skin-to-skin care

  • Latching techniques

  • Nutrition for breastfeeding mothers

  • Tips for increasing milk supply

Whether you’re preparing to breastfeed or navigating challenges along the way, you’re not alone. Come as you are—bring your questions, your baby, and your coffee—and be part of a caring, informed community.

Tiny Tummies: A Workshop for Picky Eaters & Peaceful Mealtimes

📅 Date: Starting September 8th, 2025 and then every other month

Mealtime shouldn’t be a battle—and with the right tools, it doesn’t have to be.

Tiny Tummies is a supportive, evidence-based workshop created to help parents and caregivers reduce mealtime stress and navigate the challenges of picky eating. Whether your child is refusing foods, stuck on a handful of “safe” options, or you’re simply looking to build a healthier mealtime routine, this workshop is for you.

Led by our compassionate and knowledgeable registered dietitian and nurse, the session will cover:

  • Common reasons behind picky eating behaviors

  • How to create a positive mealtime environment

  • Practical strategies to encourage food exploration

  • Ways to support healthy growth and nutrition

  • Tips for reducing pressure and power struggles at the table

This live, interactive session is hosted over Zoom, so you can join from the comfort of your home. There will also be time for Q&A, so bring your questions!

Whether you’re just beginning to notice picky habits or have been navigating them for a while, Tiny Tummies offers expert insight and actionable guidance to help your child build a healthy relationship with food.
